Artist Profile: Dedi Pramudita
Dedi Pramudita, an Architects graduate, was born in Jember, East Java, Indonesia. After completing his secondary study, he decided to move to Bandung continuing his study at the Faculty of Architecture, Parahyangan University, one of Indonesia's most reputable private universities. Specializing in the harmony between architectural structures and interior design, he decided to pursue a life-long interest in interior design by becoming a fully qualified interior designer and establishing his own design practice in Bandung. Now established as a well-respected interior designer, Dedi Pramudita has covered a diverse range of design styles in both commercial and residential environments for clients in Indonesia.
Dedi Pramudita is passionate about style and detail and carries with his prestigious knowledge of interior design history that informs him everyday design decisions. But no matter how large the project and how wide-ranging the decision, Dedi Pramudita allows no trace of self-importance to stand in the way of the flow of ideas; he cheerfully admits that there's always something to learn from the trades-people he employs.
Dedi Pramudita also teaches art drawings at St Angela High School, one of the most reputable high schools in Bandung. He keeps working closely with his former college to plough back the experience he has gained, by participating in lecture events and above all by maintaining an open policy about his fees and working practises.
